33 days

I promised you the landscape would change.

Wow! It has been a week since Ash Wednesday. Last week, in my little neck of the woods, we had many inches of snow on the ground with more falling by the hour. Schools in the area closed for three days and opted for e-learning in many cases.

Today, the morning temperature was 40 degrees higher than it was last week at this time. Conditions do change if we have patience and continue to work through them.

I was reminded of patience again this morning as I was frustrated by one of those iridescent stickers stuck to a glass I was recently given as a gift. The sticker is proof of the authenticity of the product. Surely, they could assure purchasers of this fact by applying the sticker to a simple tag instead of directly on the glass.

Removing such stickers takes patience. Often, I am looking for an instant response like those found in an infomercial. A small amount of window cleaner with ammonia does the trick. The trick is letting the product sit on the glass for a few minutes before attempting to remove the sticky goo.

We are not going to reach our goals instantly either. There is going to be some sticky goo that we become frustrated with along the way. There are going to be times when we want to rush the process instead of sticking with it to see where it leads us.

Today, I am going to trust the journey I am on while I remember who is right by my side on the journey. I will continue to trust the process.

Prayer for today: Dear Lord, often I do not know where you are leading me, your process may not be my process, but help me hang in there with you while you lead me to even greater results than I can envision.

Until tomorrow,
Jerilyn
